This is what happens when you incorporate strength training into your workouts along with cardio.
My weight in both of these pictures is very similar, around 215 pounds (I’m 5ft. 8). I’m actually heavier in the April picture. These are the same shorts, just in different colors. The fit sooo much better now.
The scale doesn’t tell the whole story.
After losing 30 pounds in 4 months in Spring of 2013, I gained it all back plus 10 after reverting back to poor eating habits and ditching the gym. The past 3 months of 2014 haven’t been perfect. I’ve fallen off the wagon at least 15 separate times. The most important thing is that I got back on again.
Eating ENOUGH to keep up with your activity is key to losing fat and gaining fitness. Eat clean, healthy foods 80% of the time and indulge in your favorite treats every now and then. There’s no way I could live without my stuffed crust pepperoni pizza fix every now and then.
